Guilin got its name in 1940 for owning a great deal of Sweet Osmanthus trees and is world famous for its beautiful scenery with the old saying “Guilin’s scenery is best among all under heaven.” Located to the west side of the Li River, Guilin is in the northeast part of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
From Tang Dynasty, Guilin served a vital role connecting the central government and the southwest border supplying food from Yangtze plain to the southwestern part of the realm.
Guilin is abundant in its historical culture thus make it a great candidate for preserving the heritage and natural scenery there. It is quiet warm and rainy with distinctive four seasons in Guilin.
