Hebei with Shijiazhuang as its capital city, is a province in the North China region.The name Hebei means "north of the Yellow River".It completely surrounds the municipalities of Beijing and Tianjin. Hebei borders Bohai Sea on the east and the he Hai He watershed covers most of its central and southern parts.
Heibei is cut through by The Great Wall from east to west, and terminate of Shanhaiguan is in northeastern Hebei. Not to mention the numerous hills and mountains,the largest lake in Hebei is Baiyangdian which is very famous in the history of China .
Heibei is a province full of historic relics.The "First Pass of The World" , he popular beach resort Beidaihe ,The Chengde Mountain Resort,the World Heritage Site Qing Dynasty imperial tombs,the oldest stone arch bridge Zhaozhou Anji Bridge,are all making Heibei one of the most historical province in China .Traditional forms of Chinese opera in Hebei include Pingju and Hebei Bangzi. |
