With Shenyang as its capital,Liaoning province,which is located in the south of Northeast China,facing the the Yellow Sea and Bo Hai on the south.Covering an area of over 150000 square kilometers,it has a population of 41.62 million,including a number of ethnic groups.
Liaoning has rich nature resources.By now over 110 kinds of minerals were found ,among which the reserves of minerals like iron,boron,magnesite,diamond and several others are ranked as China’s No.1.
As a major production region of cotton and peanuts in northeast China,Liaoning’s agriculture is quite well developed.The hilly area of east Liaoning is the main production area of tussor.Apple and peach produced in Dalian and Yingkou are well known.Aquiculture is developed along the coastal area.The output of prawn produced here leads in China.
Liaoning has rich historical and culture relices as well as beautiful nature scenery. Mt.Qianshan,scenic mount with 999peaks,is located to the southeast of Anshan city,Many hotsprings were found along Yalu River where there are rich resources of propagation.Shenyangren Cave,Mt.Yiwulu,and other national nature reserves are also located in this area.
