Ningbo,being on the northeast part of Zhejiang Province, Ningbo owns a long history dating back to Hemudu culture. From Tang Dynasty, it became one of the most important ports in the Eastern China and dealt with the international trade. Now, the port in Ningbo ranks second just next to Shanghai.
The climate of Ningbo is influenced by the monsoon thus make it a humid subtropical climate. You can experience the full four seasons there.
The cross-see bridge completed in 2008 make it possible to go to Shanghai in less than two hours. It somehow affects the property prices, which is now approaching that of Shanghai, in Ningbo.
The most famous scenic spot in Ningbo is the Tianyi Pavilion Museum, which is the oldest existing library in China. Besides, you can visit lots of temples there. For example the Baoguo Temple, which wins the name of the oldest wooden structure preserved in South part of China.
