Xining, the capital city of Qinghai Province, shares a long history of more than 2100 years and plays a vital role in the time of Hexi Corridor by owning timber, wool and salt. Back to the Western and Eastern Han dynasties, Xining was notable for its vital roles in the economic and military. It got the name, Xining which means a peace in the west, in Song Dynasty.
